Auxiliary Flotilla Leadership Course ( AFLC) is offered monthly in a 4 week instructor-facilitated format.

Welcome to the online Auxiliary Flotilla Leadership Course (AFLC). This is a four-week, instructor-facilitated course. It represents a new format for Auxiliary training that leverages additional tools available in the Online Classroom to provide a more robust learning experience.

There are four weekly modules in this course consisting of video lessons, TED talks, and discussion board activities. The purpose of the discussion boards is to facilitate communication and knowledge sharing among course participants.

Overall, the AFLC is designed to provide consistent leadership and supervisory training to Auxiliary members currently serving, or intending to serve, as a flotilla elected leader. It is also designed to assist a member’s growth into flotilla leadership positions. The AFLC provides and enhances the knowledge, skills and practices needed to become a successful flotilla leader.

Course modules provide instruction on the different aspects of leading and administering a flotilla. These modules provide flotilla leaders with comprehensive information on the purpose and structure of a flotilla, the duties and responsibilities of flotilla elected and staff officers, the components of effective flotilla administration, planning and establishing goals, team-building, member development, and leadership practices.
