The courses contained within this portal are designed to prepare Auxiliary members for the various appointed and elected leadership roles they may encounter during their Auxiliary career.
The courses within the Leadership Development Portal directly support the Auxiliary Leadership Development Program (ALDP) which facilitates leadership development at the unit level. The ALDP emphasizes the interaction off all three components of the Coast Guard Leadership Development framework: (1) 28 CG Leadership Competencies, (2) levels of responsibility and expertise, and (3) methods for gaining and demonstrating competency.
The Coast Guard Auxiliary is a dynamic organization experiencing tremendous opportunities as well as significant change. It is our leadership skills, from Member to Commodore, which will determine our success. The ALDP and appropriate leadership attention will hone us as individuals and Auxiliary members.
